Family History of Antiques

My Great- grandfather Wude Tang was the minister Tianguan（朝廷一品官 ) in China which no matter anywhere he went there were always 8 people carriage which was the symbol of highest position in China during that time, there are at least 20 retainers in the front to open the road by play gongs and drums.
One day, A guy who was selling Tofu on the way Wude passes, the guy refused to back off so one of the retainer went to kicked him and destroyed his business in very bad way that caused the Tofu guy in deep grief and indignation and died short after that. The guy has a son, the son made up his mind to plan to revenge. He had studied very hard for a few years after his father died. Finally he won the first prize in the country( 状元), it was the only way to get a position in Imperial Court that time. Since he got power in the Imperial Court, he started to create a secret access from another side of mountain which was Wude’s office located to the basement in years then hided an Royal Costume in our basement. When he was reporting to the Emperor that we were ready to take over the country and we even got Royal Costume ready, the Emperor was in shock sent Palace Guards to search, when the Royal Costume from our basement were found laid in front of the Emperor, the Emperor immediately exterminated my entire family. Fortunately, my grandfather Gengyao Tang was a newborn baby of the second wife that time that the Emperor didn’t know yet so he and his mother (my great-grandmother) have survived under so many protections of friends. After that, the family still had a lot of properties and assets that my grandfather be able to lived luxury life style which had 100 mates even he was 5 years old and my great- grandma slept on the bed with three levels that three classed mates were slept on them every night in order to server her better, every morning before she got dressed she will choose the color of the color of first follower she saw from her window.
Although after such tragedy, the valley next to our office location is still call Tang Valley, everyone who lives there has Tang as last name, my father has to light 100 candles to worship every morning when he was young before Mao Zedong came.
